Stayed on July 2nd and it was supposed to be a one night deal, we liked the campground so much we stayed another night. Lot 8 was probably the best out of all the campsites very secluded and very quiet back off the road besides the water. Was absolutely beautiful and we plan on coming back in the future. If you're planning a trip, make sure to brig bug spray, other than that, enjoy nature. Also, the water is very fresh and great for drinking. ...we stocked up :)

Was posted that campsite was open may 5th 2016. Showed up from omaha nebraska may 13 2016. Gate was closed no posted signs stating camping was closed. Campground host kicked us out at 7pm leaving us stuck in the middle of Colorado finding another place to sleep. Very beautiful place but wow, how do you kick someone out of a campground at 7pm with no posted warning
This campground is beautiful with the creek running through it. The spots are far enough from each other to provide some sort of privacy.
Knew nothing of this campground when I first saw it online. Only 13 spots with 12 on a stream. Seems to be very popular with the locals. Heavily wooded with varying space between the campsites. I could see one other campsite from mine and no others. Heavy woods on the one side of stream and high rock wall on the others side. 2 vault toilets, one next to the fee box and one at the end of the road at the trail head. I highly recommend, in fact I'll be back soon. Gas and food in the town of Crestone. You have to pass through it on the way. That is the ONLY close town. Interesting place, keep an open mind !
